OPERATIONS MANAGER
Seeking an experienced Operations Manager, a leadership role focused on managing operational activities, processes and operations within a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment in VUCA world.
Job Description:
- Being responsible for completing tasks assigned by the General Manager and in coordination with the BU Operational Management, effectively communicating instructions and actions, monitoring, processing and providing real-time feedback to ensure smooth operations.
- Reports to the General Manager in regards of managing the company's operations and functional departments (see below), assists in supervising the formulation and implementation of various management systems and coordinates work among departments.
- Leads or participates in the decision-making and negotiation of major business matters of the company and handles major emergencies.
- Enhances operational performance through process optimization, innovation but also daily hands-on leadership
- Manages and optimizes operational activities, processes and operations.
- Direct responsibility for Production, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance teams and their operations.
- Accent on complexity management in planning and addressing customer needs in the manufacturing and its related environment.
- Provides leadership to teams, fostering employee growth and motivation.
Qualification characteristics:
- University Degree with a strong 5+ years leadership background in operational/production area
- Structural & analytical thinking with ability to efficiently use MS Office and other necessary SWs incl. being familiar with Manufacturing ERPs and their optimization
- Precise, reliable, self-motivated, flexible and cooperative person
- Experience from a similar position in a similarly sized company is advantageous
- Experience from a generator / electric motor industry as a big plus
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on people management
- Ability to set priorities, negotiate goals and achieve them
- Language knowledge: English – business level and higher, French – knowledge is a plus, but not necessary
